This fin has a good balance between a wider base to the fin and a medium tip for turning and looseness. So a good all around longboard fin in other words! Bullet points: Medium to normal rake. Good holding when on the nose. Decent base for drive and stability. NOT quirky so a good choice for professional or seasoned nose riding, etc. Type: Modern classic longboard fin

fin types: Pivot (more vertical rake allowing fin to pivot around one point, usually fuller outline top to bottom  Hatchet: usually a fin with a large rectangular looking tip for extra holding on the nose, less maneuverable then other fins but good holding when nose rideing- - Cutaway fin:   has a much smaller base or bottom of the fin and oval extra volume stacked in last three inches and a mix of pivot and then rake in the tip. Considered a performance fin for progressive modern longboards generally - - Flex Fin This is a longer sweeping back at the tip very foiled or thinner tip in dimensional size and thickness to give the board a lively spring to turning. the older the fin the more flex usually as it is "broken" in thus extra flex as a result.

If you do not like how your longboard rides or really any board then try a different fin to release the magic in that specific shape and/or matching your style. Also, can be just for fun to ride same board creating a different feel even on the same day surfing.
